Roger Gehrman appointed Acting President of Mekonomen AB (publ)

Mekonomen’s Board of Directors has today appointed Roger Gehrman as Acting President of Mekonomen, effective 21 August 2006. Following Mekonomen’s Extraordinary General Meeting, Axel Johnson AB has acquired shares in Mekonomen AB corresponding to 29 per cent of the company’s share capital and votes. Accordingly all decisions by the Extraordinary General Meeting have been implemented and the new Board assumed its work today, with Mats Jansson as new Chairman. Mekonomen has been conducting a recruitment process for some time to find a new CEO and President. This process is expected to be completed not later than during the first quarter of 2007. The current President, Owe Andersson, will leave his position in conjunction with Roger Gehrman’s appointment. ”It is extremely satisfying that Roger Gehrman has been appointed Acting President of Mekonomen.
