Easier, quicker and more convenient with Mekonomen’s new e-commerce website

In the autumn, Mekonomen will launch its new e-commerce website, offering more than 70,000 products and making it easier, quicker and more convenient to buy spare parts and accessories.

“Our e-commerce site will further strengthen our service offering and we will become even more accessible to our customers,” explains Marcus Larsson, Executive Vice President of Mekonomen AB.

E-commerce in Sweden has exploded in the past year. Surveys show that a full 90 per cent of all Swedes with an internet connection have purchased goods or services over the internet in the past six months.

“Our modern e-commerce platform will offer Mekonomen’s range with readily available information about our products. It will also be easier to find our stores and book a time for service and repairs in the workshops via mekonomen.se,” says Alexandra Prusic, E-commerce and Online Marketing Manager Mekonomen AB.

There will be no difference in the price of goods purchased over the Internet or in the stores for consumers. Surveys conducted by Mekonomen indicate that the reason for purchasing goods over the Internet is largely due to the convenience of the channel. Payment can be made by credit card, invoice, direct bank payment or using the Mekonomen card and the goods are delivered directly to the door, to the closest Mekonomen store, via business parcel or to a drop-off location operated by the Swedish Postal Service (Posten).
