As part of Mekonomen Group's ambition to have the right competence and equipment to serve the most common car models, the company prepares to take care of electric cars. Training of mechanics will be handled through the group's training center ProMeister Academy. Mekonomen Bilverkstad Drammen in Norway will be the first electric car workshop in Mekonomen Group.

Mekonomen Group will offer complementary competence development in the area of electric cars through its own training center ProMeister Academy. Mekonomen Bilverkstad in Drammen in Norway is strategically located in a municipality of high growth in number of electric cars. The workshop will be the first workshop in Mekonomen Group being trained to take care of electric cars.

The high growth in the number of electric cars in Norway makes Norway currently the most interesting country for Mekonomen Group's initiative in electric cars.

"The Norwegian market is one of the fastest growing in number of electric cars so it is a strategic step for us to start up the first workshop for electric cars and training of mechanics in electric cars in Norway," says Marcus Larsson, Executive Vice President of Mekonomen Group.
