High availability and quality at a fixed price attract large corporate customers to Mekonomen Group's workshops. During the past year, the Group's workshop concept MECA and Mekonomen in Sweden signed agreements with Avis, LeasePlan, PostNord, Halmstad kommun, Södertälje kommun and most recently a nationwide agreement with Uber.

In many cities it is crowded in the workshops, it can take up to two months to get a workshop appointment for some car brands. For companies and professional drivers, it means large income losses when the car is stationary. More and more companies are choosing available quality from other actors than the car manufacturers' affiliated workshops. Today, more than 200,000 cars have framework agreements with MECA's and Mekonomen's workshops in Sweden.

“We welcome all car drivers with priority accessibility at a fixed price. We understand cars and focus on quality, accessibility and flexibility for everyone who depends on the car rolling”, says Carl Johan Åström, CEO of MECA Sweden.

"The Carlife should be easy for business owners and commercial drivers. We offer our corporate clients a nationwide network of carefully selected workshops within the Mekonomen Service Center concept as to the size and capacity can guarantee availability”, says Stig Tornell, CEO Mekonomen Sweden.

"We are constantly looking for opportunities to make it as smooth as possible for professional drivers to drive with the Uber app. Today, thousands of professional drivers regularly use the Uber app in Sweden to communicate with clients and get access to financial opportunities with a simple button press. With this partnership, we ensure that they have continued access to the best deals on the market, as they offer their customers a safe, reliable and affordable way to get around their cities”, says Joel Järvinen, General Manager of Uber Nordics.

“We at LeasePlan are constantly working to develop the simplicity for our customers and drivers. The flexible solutions will win in the long run. We need to ensure that our drivers receive fast and qualitative service at the right price”, says Niklas Zetterlund, Operations Manager at LeasePlan.

The EU exemption regulations ensure that all independent workshops can access technical information, spare parts and special tools in the same way as the car manufacturers' affiliated workshops. This gives car owners the opportunity to choose an independent workshop without the risk of losing new car guarantees or the second-hand value of the car.
