ProMeister expands in Finland

Leading in vehicle technology education and skill development
ProMeister, part of MEKO, has since its establishment in 2016 become a central player in vehicle technology and skills development. Today, it offers the widest range of automotive courses in the Nordics through its vocational training programs. The course offerings are available to both affiliated workshops and external partners, enabling today’s technicians to acquire the expertise needed to meet industry demands—both now and in the future.

First ProMeister academy opened in Finland
MEKO’s goal is to be the most comprehensive partner for everyone who drives, repairs, and maintains vehicles in Northen Europe — regardless of technology. Collaborating with an academy like ProMeister is essential to achieving this objective. The expansion of ProMeister is a milestone for both the company and MEKO, as it marks another step in MEKO’s mission to secure skilled resources for the future of the automotive industry. ProMeister now operates in three countries: Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

“Our goal is to provide top-notch training to the next generation of automotive technicians, focusing on cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and hands-on learning”, says Sanna Reunanen, CEO of Koivunen Oy, MEKO’s subsidiary in Finland.

Vision for a sustainable automotive industry
MEKO's vision is to lead the development toward sustainable mobility in Northern Europe, with ProMeister’s training programs being a key tool in this effort. By offering skills development and technical training, ProMeister contributes to raising standards within the workshop industry and creates long-term career opportunities for technicians.

“By offering advanced training in modern automotive and workshop technology, we are meeting the growing demand for qualified technicians and strengthening our presence in Northern Europe. Our course range includes everything from basic workshop technology to training technicians for future challenges in handling electric vehicles, making ProMeister an essential resource for the entire automotive sector,” says Stefan Lust, Head of Education at ProMeister.

Mobility accessible to all
ProMeister’s educational initiatives align with MEKO's business model, which focuses on quality, innovation, and sustainability, as well as making mobility accessible to everyone. Many of ProMeister’s courses are available in both physical and digital formats. In 2022, ProMeister conducted a large tour across Sweden to enable more automotive technicians to receive further training close to their own workshops—an effort greatly appreciated by both workshop owners and the technicians themselves.

“By investing in education and development, we can continue to be a trusted partner for workshops, companies, and car owners. Through ProMeister's academies, we contribute to skill enhancement in the automotive industry while ensuring that our workshops can deliver high-quality and environmentally-conscious solutions for a new generation of vehicles. We look forward to continued growth in Finland and strengthening technical expertise in Northern Europe,” says Stefan Lust.
