Lasingoo – digital website for workshop services

Swedish car owners are now being offered the opportunity to find workshops and book workshop services online through the digital website, Lasingoo. The site is a result of a joint collaboration by the Swedish workshop industry to satisfy customer demand for simplicity, transparency and availability. Mekonomen Group is launching Lasingoo together with leading industry players as Autoexperten, AD-Bildelar, Bosch Car Service, Hedin Bil and OKQ8.
“Lasingoo is an industry initiative by Mekonomen Group together with leading companies in the sector to simplify the meeting between workshop and customer. The web site will be developed into a digital vehicle portal focused on the car and the car owner, with booking of car service and repairs as the first step in the modernisation of our industry,” says Håkan Lundstedt, President and CEO Mekonomen Group.
Using Lasingoo, car owners will be able to locate workshops and book workshop services from a choice of 1,800 workshops throughout Sweden. Prices and availability will be viewed directly on screen. The web page contains functions as an electronic car journal, “My car page,” where car owners will have an overview of their car-related expenses, as well as the opportunity to rate workshop visits and read what other car owners say about the workshops.

The industrial cooperation is restricted to include launch, ownership and continued development of the digital web site. The development of individual business activities, such as pricing, customer base and concept developments, will continue with full competition in the market among the respective companies.
