MEKO has been awarded a bronze medal by EcoVadis, the world's most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, for its sustainability performance and achievements. Scoring well-above industry averages across all categories, MEKO is in the top 35 percent of assessed companies.

MEKO has been practicing principles of sustainability for over 50 years by repairing and prolonging the life of car-related products. With circularity becoming an increasingly important part of the business, MEKO has intensified its sustainability efforts.

Since 2019, MEKO has reported its greenhouse gas emissions. MEKO’s commitment to aligning its climate impact reduction initiatives with the Paris agreement's requirements was underscored in 2023 when it pledged towards setting targets in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

MEKO's proactive approach to sustainability has earned the company its first-ever bronze medal from EcoVadis, widely seen as the global standard for business sustainability ratings. The assessment considered four categories: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. MEKO's performance in these areas was consistently above industry averages, placing it in the top 35 percent of companies.

“We’re honoured and delighted with this recognition. We aim to inspire and enable the sustainable transformation, and we see this as an acknowledgement of the work that we do. It’s also a great way for us to get valuable feedback, which we’ll use to further improve our sustainability efforts,” said Louise Wohrne, Head of Sustainability at MEKO.

"Transitioning to a circular economy is necessary and fundamental in mitigating our environmental and climate impact. Changing our consumption and production approach is vital, and MEKO is positioned to be at the forefront of this contribution,” she added.
