MEKO's training academy, ProMeister, has opened its first training academy in Finland, near Helsinki Airport in the city of Vantaa. This marks a step in the ongoing work to strengthen MEKO and future-proof technical expertise in vehicle maintenance across Northern Europe.
Leading in vehicle technology education and skill development ProMeister, part of MEKO, has since its establishment in 2016 become a central player in vehicle technology and skills development. Today, it offers the widest range of automotive courses in the Nordics through its vocational training programs. The course offerings are available to both affiliated workshops and external partners, enabling today’s technicians to acquire the expertise needed to meet industry demands—both now and in the future.

Collaborating with an academy like ProMeister is essential to achieving this objective. The expansion of ProMeister is a milestone for both the company and MEKO, as it marks another step in MEKO’s mission to secure skilled resources for the future of the automotive industry. ProMeister now operates in three countries: Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

Vision for a sustainable automotive industry MEKO's vision is to lead the development toward sustainable mobility in Northern Europe, with ProMeister’s training programs being a key tool in this effort. By offering skills development and technical training, ProMeister contributes to raising standards within the workshop industry and creates long-term career opportunities for technicians.

Mobility accessible to all ProMeister’s educational initiatives align with MEKO's business model, which focuses on quality, innovation, and sustainability, as well as making mobility accessible to everyone. Many of ProMeister’s courses are available in both physical and digital formats. In 2022, ProMeister conducted a large tour across Sweden to enable more automotive technicians to receive further training close to their own workshops—an effort greatly appreciated by both workshop owners and the technicians themselves.

MEKO has taken a significant step towards promoting gender equality and increasing the representation of female leaders within the company by launching its new mentorship program, Astrid. This 12-month program, starting in November 2024, is specifically designed for female employees at MEKO and aims to enhance their personal and professional development through mentorship, coaching, and network building.
Poland is one of Europe's largest markets, where MEKO is now advancing its position. Intensive efforts are underway to leverage the company's latest acquisition in the country, according to the leadership team for MEKO’s Polish operations.
