Mekonomen broadens offering by adding automotive and home insurance

In autumn 2012, Mekonomen will start to offer specially designed automotive and home insurance.

“As Mekonomen’s product and service offering is broadened, it becomes natural to add attractively priced insurance,” says Marcus Larsson, Executive Vice President of Mekonomen AB.

The continuous market surveys performed by Mekonomen show that attractively priced automotive and home insurance is in demand among existing and potential customers. Mekonomen has a strong brand and is associated with offering complete solutions. With this in mind, the step into the insurance market becomes a natural progression.

Initially, the launch will be in the Swedish market. “Our plan, and a natural step, is to later transfer the concept to other markets, primarily Norway and Denmark,” explains Marcus Larsson.
