The EU commission intends to removes the ban on new petrol and diesel cars from 2035, and this affects millions of people who drive, repair and maintain vehicles. However, it does not change the long term journey toward more sustainable mobility.
As 2025 draws to a close, Norway can look back on a historic turning point. During the year, electric vehicles have continued to dominate new car registrations, and in early December, electric cars also became the most common drivetrain in the entire Norwegian passenger car fleet.
When Jessica Tjulander joined MEKO, she knew the role of Wholesale Director would come with challenges — but she had no idea just how much influence she would have. MEKO is accelerating in the commercial vehicle segment with an ambitious goal – to expand the business to more than SEK 1 billion in revenue by 2028. “The opportunity is there, we have a clear plan, and we are here to stay,” says Nils Hollmann, MEKO’s Director of Commercial Vehicles.
MEKO is strengthening its logistics with new state-of-the-art distribution centers across several markets. The result is higher efficiency, a broader range of spare parts, and new capacity for growth. “The step we are taking now is significant. It benefits our customers and gives MEKO a much stronger platform,” says Jessica Tjulander, Director of Wholesale at MEKO.
A growing number of car owners are choosing affordable alternatives for spare parts and products that maintain the same high quality as established brands. MEKO is meeting this demand by bringing together its exclusive brands into a new division with a clearer strategy. The goal is to offer parts and products that match established manufacturers in performance, are adapted to Nordic conditions, come with warranties, and are easily accessible – at a more competitive price.

As Chief Operating Officer of ProMeister Services, he has found his calling – equipping Sweden’s future automotive technicians with the knowledge and tools they need to service and repair both new and older vehicles. “It is a wide-ranging responsibility that requires close collaboration across several areas – exactly the kind of challenge I thrive on.”
MEKO is making a major push into new product segments while significantly expanding its logistics capabilities. The ambition is clear: to reinforce its position as the market leader in Northern Europe – and unlock new avenues for growth.
