Intermeko – Part of MEKO's commitment to quality and innovation

At MEKO's testing laboratory, Intermeko Europe, located in Poland, we rigorously test the durability, quality, and safety of all our products using advanced technical testing methods and quality controls. Intermeko Europe plays a central role in our mission to build a stronger MEKO, focusing on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Intermeko – Part of MEKO's commitment to quality and innovation

At MEKO, we aim to build a strong and sustainable group that represents quality and innovation within the automotive aftermarket. Part of this effort involves offering our own products, such as those from ProMeister and Automec, which undergo meticulous quality checks. These include brake discs, filters, and wheel bearings used in workshops and garages across Northern Europe. Today, we offer a wide and accessible range of affordable, innovative services, solutions, and products for workshops and vehicle owners.

“In line with our strategy, we have developed products under our own brands that are rigorously tested and high-quality for both our affiliated workshops and private customers. This is a natural step in our goal to be the most comprehensive partner for everyone who drives, repairs, and maintains vehicles in Northern Europe. It complements our business by continuously improving our offerings to our customers,” says Jessica Tjulander at MEKO.

Advanced Testing for Superior Quality
Intermeko Europe focuses on four main testing areas:

  • Functional tests - Components are tested in laboratory environments to ensure they function properly in real-world applications.

  • Geometry tests - Verifies that products can be quickly and efficiently installed in workshops, saving time and minimizing issues during repairs.

  • Strength tests - Products are rigorously tested, and those that may compromise user safety are removed. These tests provide insights into a product’s durability and reliability.

  • Material tests - The materials used in manufacturing various products are analyzed. By examining chemical composition, hardness, and structure, we ensure that the materials meet required quality standards.

Highest standards and certified quality
Intermeko Europe adheres to internationally recognized standards and is certified by the independent certification body DEKRA. The laboratory employs professional research equipment with metrological properties validated by accredited calibration laboratories.

Part of MEKO’s success journey
The continued expansion of Intermeko Europe’s operations strengthens MEKO’s position as a reliable partner in the automotive industry. Through advanced testing and quality control, we can offer products that not only meet but exceed customer expectations.

The story behind Intermeko Europe
Intermeko Europe was founded in 2013 as a joint initiative between Inter Cars SA and MEKO (Mekonomen New Business AB). The new company included the Labo-Tech laboratory and Inter Cars SA’s quality control units, which had been operating since 2005. The combination of Inter Cars SA—a leading distributor of spare parts for cars, vans, and trucks in Central and Eastern Europe—and Mekonomen, Scandinavia’s largest distributor of spare parts and accessories, was a success. Together, they enable a robust partnership to strengthen testing and quality control in the industry.
