MEKO more than doubles the offering in online store Mekster and expands across the Nordics

MEKO is increasing the range of spare parts and car accessories available through its e-commerce platform Mekster by almost 130 percent. At the same time, Mekster is becoming fully established across the Nordic region and is launching new AI-powered features – among the first in the industry – making it even easier for car owners to find the right parts.

Mekster has offered spare parts and accessories to private car owners in Sweden and Norway since 2013 and is one of the leading online players in the sector. As consumer interest in online shopping has continued to grow, MEKO decided in 2025 to accelerate its investment in the platform – with clear results. Since the beginning of the year, Mekster’s product range has increased by almost 130 percent to 160,000 products, while the platform has also been launched in Finland and Denmark.

“Today, we are present across all Nordic markets – a milestone in our ambition to become a leading Nordic destination for car owners looking to purchase spare parts, accessories and workshop products online. At the same time, MEKO is strengthening its overall offering as a Group. Mekster serves private customers through a different service model than our highly competitive offering for wholesalers and workshops, which includes deliveries several times a day,” says Marcus Fredriksson, CEO of Mekster.

Another important step forward is the introduction of new AI-powered features. As one of the first e-commerce platforms in the industry to do so, Mekster is using AI to make the customer experience simpler and more intuitive. Compared with the traditional method of searching for parts online solely by entering a vehicle registration number, the new AI functionality can provide more accurate alternatives, recommendations and guidance.

“Our new AI solution is yet another example of how MEKO remains at the forefront of technological development. Technology is not an objective in itself – it serves one simple purpose: helping our customers in the best possible way. That will continue to be our guiding principle going forward,” says Marcus Fredriksson.

In February, MEKO launched a unique AI solution for workshops that simplifies vehicle diagnostics while also helping reduce waiting times for car owners.
